Woolston Infant School is part of the Mayflower Partnership of schools which in turn is part of the Hamwic Education Trust.  

The aim of the Hamwic Education Trust is to:

"establish self-improving school systems by creating local Partnerships of schools where School Leaders take a collective responsibility for student outcomes."

Mayflower Partnership

The Mayflower Partnership was formed in October 2017 and Woolston Infant School joined the Partnership in April 2021.

Mayflower Partnership is a group of schools on the East side of Southampton who work together collaboratively to improve the outcomes for children in our community.

Aim of the Mayflower Partnership

Our aim is to create a safe, happy and nurturing environment in which all children learn and thrive. Together, we are a vibrant community where we all aspire to be the best we can be. 

Aim of the Hamwic Education Trust 

The aim of the Trust is to create a local community of schools in Southampton who support, challenge and collaborate to improve standards, develop the curriculum, identify and improve weaknesses and track progress. We bring professional expertise and experience to secure the highest possible achievement for all. All aspects of our work will have a clear focus on improvement in the skills of our pupils, staff and community on sustaining measurable impact.

The Head Teachers work closely together to maintain and raise standards. The Mayflower Partnership share a commitment to making a positive difference to our children and their families through a nurturing and caring ethos. All the schools within the Mayflower Partnership provide an inclusive approach to learning for pupils.

Together, we raise aspiration and aim to improve life chances for all children within our care.
